University board composition and institutional outcomes

Numerous studies examine corporate boards of directors' composition and firm performance. Far less is known about the factors influencing university boards' outcomes. This paper fills this void by examining relationship between board selection processes constituent representation, in terms size demographic composition, influence on institutional We find that sector, Carnegie classification, wealth predict size, institutions with larger tend to have more favorable Board gender racial correlated outcomes than size.
